Plans to construct a healing garden have been started. The healing garden will include a labyrinth, an intricate structure of winding, interconnecting passages providing the walker focus.
An herb garden complete with lavender is also planned for the site. Picnic tables and benches will be scattered about the property.
A small orchard is being located next to the enclosed garden along with a site for row crops including corn, potatoes and, of course, sunflowers. |

Future Plans

The garden will become a teaching garden for horticulture therapy students. As it is on the site of a nursing home it will become an ideal learning center.
A year round green house has been planned for the site. This will enable seniors to continue sharing experiences not just in spring and summer but throughout the year. It will also enable the food baskets to be filled year round.
