The Foxglove Community Gardens is a pleasurable approach to offering the community an opportunity to participate in a common project, bringing young people from the surrounding schools, apartment and city dwellers who no longer have access to a garden, and Seniors, together in a meaningful activity.
The project offers the opportunity for graduating highschool students to acquire their community service requirements. Students from the Chemainus High School are already involved in designing and manufacturing the formal FOXGLOVE sign and producing garden ornaments and birdhouse collections. |
